Belmont University - Home Page Redesign
In 2020, I had the honor of redesigning Belmont University's homepage with the objective of improving the university's online presence and taking advantage of the increased traffic from hosting one of the 2020 Presidential debates.
Header
Our primary aim was to enhance the page's impact as soon as users landed on it. We achieved this by replacing the outdated slider of news stories with a new video header that cycled headings for each video section. This strategy allowed us to showcase Belmont's big stages, dreams, and ideas.

Additionally, we wanted to ensure that visitors had every opportunity to engage and participate in the exciting activities happening on campus. To achieve this, we transformed the buttons into a quick-action navigation that follows the user down the page. This consolidation helped to streamline the experience and provide a better user experience.
Infographics
We noticed that the previous homepage lacked campus beauty shots, which was a significant oversight. To address this, we included a full-width image of the beautiful campus, providing an excellent opportunity to showcase the university with infographics and imagery, allowing us to truly boast about the campus's stunning features.
What's going on at Belmont
In addition, we created a section to keep visitors up-to-date with the latest happenings at Belmont, including a dedicated area for the growing video team's amazing work. We also emphasized our social media presence to ensure visitors knew how to follow and get in touch with us. Finally, we consolidated the previous page's slider and announcements section into a single News and Events section.
Animations
Finally, we made sure to prioritize interactive elements throughout the page, creating a more engaging and connected experience for visitors.
